Q. Why are disposables so expensive?
A. Compared to what? Most people have no idea how much their current re-usable linen system costs them. It is a laborious, intensive costly system. The use of properly designed and engineered disposables, prevent contamination and reduces the risk and subsequent cost of hospital acquired infections.Q. How can that thin layer of fabric prevent micro-organisms penetrating?
A. Kimberly-Clark’s drapes, gowns and sterilisation wrap are made from a 3 layer technology the base of which is polypropylene. The inner layer provides a barrier to micro-organisms.Q. What’s the difference between your PAPER drape and others?
A. Kimberly-Clark’s surgical drapes & gowns are not paper-based. The base fabric is polypropylene.Q. Have you done a cost study linen vs wrap? What was the outcome and with which hospital?
A. yes we have done several cost studies and they prove that Kimguard* One-Step wrap is a cost-efficient system which will meet all clinical requirements of a wrap.Q. Do you have any clinical data to prove reduction of surgical site infection on patients who used Integuseal?
A. In vitro studies have been done which prove Integuseal’s efficacy in reducing surgical site infections. Further studies are in progress globally.Q. Why are Kimberly-Clark products more expensive than other companies?
A. Kimberly-Clark prefers not to compare product by product as this can be misleading. Kimberly-Clark provides solutions which would equate to a basket of products to be used for specific purposes. e.g. a full washroom solution. In most instances using the correct solution (or basket of products) from Kimberly-Clark would provide cost-in-use to the user thereby reducing their monthly spend. Kimberly-Clark is one of the highest wage payers, is compliant with all manufacturing safety and environmental standards, has significant social responsibility projects and manufactures products to best performing standards in their relevant category.Q. Why does our reflex dispenser have no view window?
