Environmental Policy
Kimberly-Clark is committed to the preservation of our environment.
Kimberly-Clark South Africa’s objective is to minimise the negative impact on our environment during the tissue, personal care and hygiene product manufacturing processes. This is achieved through:
- Encouraging and training employees to identify and prevent potential environmental pollution.
- Regularly evaluating the impact of our business activities upon the environment and consistently implementing measures to improve our performance through pollution prevention and waste recycling.
- Ensuring that relevant environmental legislation and any other applicable standards are met or exceeded through the implementation of objectives and that activities conducted are consistent with the Kimberly-Clark Corporation Environmental requirements and the criteria of a recognised International Environmental Standard.
- Expect that every employee adheres to the Environmental Management System’s procedures and instructions, and that deviations are reported to Management.
- Regularly measuring, monitoring and inspecting in accordance with the Environmental Management System to ensure the Company’s Policy is effective.
- Establishing an Environmental Committee which actively contributes towards meeting our Environmental Objectives.
- Providing the Kimberly-Clark South Africa policy to its employees, its contractors and the community on request.
