Golden Service Awards 2009
This year marked the 5th year of this prestigious awards function and the function was held on the 22nd October at The Forum in Bryanston.
Each year the Golden Service Awards are presented to those who have achieved exceptional service and excellence in the contract cleaning industry. Judges are tasked with visiting and assessing cleaning teams for cleanliness, dedication, communication skills, health and safety controls and above all positive attitudes. Categories include the commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial and retail sectors.
Competition is fierce and awards are not easily won. The number of entrants continue to increase each year and this year is no different, a sure sign that the values that motivate these awards – striving for superior quality, distinction and merit, is stronger than ever. This year we had 234 entries and 187 sites judges. There were a total of 27 awards presented and the Company of the Year Award went to Ubunye Cleaning Services.
Theme of the awards evening was Clean Talk Show with our very own well known talk show host Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu hosting the event. The panel was made of Ingrid Lohse - Marketing Director KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL* Europe Middle East Africa responsible for the marketing programs and marketing communications for all EMEA countries, and also representatives from the Cleaning companies and Cleaning sites:
- Pat Monterio – from Ubunye Cleaning Services
- Ndo Maleho – from Kokobelo Cleaning Services
- Preston Gaddy, form Clear Water Mall cleaned by Supercare Cleaning Services
- Sharon da Silva, from Mecure cleaned by Red Alert TSS
The quests were entertained by Romanz - a group of four guys, who bedazzled the audience with their classic, yet modern sound.
