Question:
Answer:
No. WypAll® X cloths are made with an exclusive technology from Kimberly-Clark called HYDROKNIT® material. Manufactured using jets of water to bond soft absorbent paper fibres to extra strong polypropylene non-woven fabric, HYDROKNIT® material is our most advanced wiping material. The result of using this technology is cloths that offer fast absorption, tear-resistance, and exceptionally high performance, ideal for the toughest tasks. Furthermore, the absence of glues/ adhesives ensures that no traces are left on wiped surfaces and that there are no reactions with chemical wiping solutions.
Answer:
WypAll® X80 Cleaning Cloths are strong enough to go in a washing machine. However, to help comply with hygiene regulations (such as HACCP) and maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, Kimberly-Clark recommends using a WypAll® X80 Cleaning Cloth for an entire shift and then throw it away rather than machine-washing it. This will help keep bacteria at bay, which can otherwise accumulate when a cloth is left overnight.
Answer:
Yes. Kimberly-Clark offers 2 ranges of general-purpose wipers, one that can be reused and another that cannot:
WypAll® L wipers are meant for single-use, where you use the wiper once and throw it away (L= Limited life wipers). WypAll® X cloths, on the other hand, are for repeat use, where you can use the wiper again and again (X= eXtended use cloths).
Answer:
The cloth-like feel of WypAll® X cloths mean they are soft enough to wipe even glass surfaces and do not scratch. WypAll® X60 cloths are our most conformable and flexible wipers, ideal for tasks that require a combination of precision and absorbency.
Answer:
WypAll® X cloths are designed as a cost-effective alternative to textile rags. In terms of linting, WypAll® X cloths perform well when compared to textile alternatives. However, it should be noted that WypAll® X cloths are not "no-lint/ low-lint" wipers. If lint elimination is critical to the wiping process then we recommend customers refer to our range of KIMTECH® wipers.
Answer:
This is a difficult area to generalise. The hydro-entangling process of creating WypAll® X cloths does not rely on chemicals to create wiper strength. Therefore, WypAll® X cloths do not react with the majority of chemical solutions. However, if you are in any doubt please contact us specifying the chemical compound, dilution (where applicable) and WypAll® X code and we will gladly conduct a compatibility test in our laboratory.
Answer:
The sheets will become "soft" and "flexible" at approx. 125-130 ºC.
The polymer (20% of the product) will melt at 160 ºC.
The pulp will start to burn at 300-400 ºC.
We do not recommend that the cloths are used to handle hot materials as they may not provide sufficient insulation.
