Winners of the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards are announced
The months of hard work and considerable worry for the entrants of the 2002 Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards are now over.
The judging team has travelled thousands of miles across the whole of the UK and Eire, spending the high summer months visiting finalists and then comparing the results of the site surveys. The suspense is now over and the winners are announced below. In this article we are showing you the sites that won. In December we will publish photographs on the site of the winners taken at the Awards luncheon on November 1st at London’s Savoy. The directors and editorial team at Cleaning and Maintenance (C&M) magazine are proud of its long and successful association with this programme since its inception in 1991 and look forward to announcing the programme for 2003 in their March issue. The Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA) has also been very supportive of the programme for many years. Director General Martyn Vesey said: “This programme is precisely what our profession needs – recognition for excellence of service. Too often the few bad examples are sensationally quoted in the national media. The GSA programme will continue to show organisations across the UK and Eire of our growing professionalism and dedication to providing a quality cleaning service. The CSSA is delighted to endorse the programme again with its support in 2003.” Jan Spencer, Sector President of sponsors Kimberly-Clark Professional, said: “The Golden Service Awards are one of our most successful industry initiatives. Already the Golden Service Awards are fully operational in Australia and this year sees the inaugural events in Holland and Belgium, with plans in place for the rest of Europe to follow. We are delighted with the dedication and involvement of both C & M magazine and the CSSA, and the participation of the cleaning profession.” Congratulations to you all, whether you were a finalist or a category winner - you are all winners. Reaching the finals from the hundreds of entries we received is success in itself. The difference between being a winner and remaining a finalist is often only one point. Today’s celebration is a recognition of everything that is good about the cleaning industry, a celebration of your achievements. On behalf of everyone involved in the Golden Service Awards programme, thank you for making this another record event and please continue to support this initiative next year.
