What is the battery life and how do I know when to change them?

2 Alkaline batteries are included in each Aircare dispenser. Battery life is up to 2 years depending on the programming of the dispenser. The battery icon will flash to let you know that the batteries need to be replaced. Also, if the audio tone is in the “on” position, it will beep once every 10 seconds to remind you that the batteries need to be replaced.

Where in the room should the dispenser be installed?

The dispenser should be placed at least 7 feet (2.2 meters) high off the floor. Try and place the dispenser near an air vent that pushes air into the room. Never place the dispenser near an air return to avoid “drawing” the fragrance out of the room. The dispenser can be placed above the door to the room only if the door opens into the room and not away from the room. The dispenser comes with tapes, screws and anchors for installation.

Why do I need this system if I keep the toilets clean?

Because cleaning does not eliminate the odours created by people using the toilets. This system is designed to eliminate the “unavoidable” odours caused by normal use. Perception is everything; what smells clean is clean. Even if the room is cleaned properly, if it smells bad people will think it is dirty.

How big a room will one dispenser cover?

Each dispenser will cover up 6,000 cubic feet (170 m3) of space

As high tech as this system is, does it cost a lot of money?

No. The dispenser has a 5 year warranty so it is a minor investment. The refills can last up to 90 days so it is very economical to use. This is the lowest cost in use system available.

Why is there still solution left in the bottle when the refill icon comes on?

The product is overfilled at the factory intentionally to ensure proper spraying of the product. This avoids air pockets from forming and eliminates a “spitting spray”. Even though there is some product still left in the bottle, it must be replaced with a new refill when the icon flashes “00”.

Is the product harmful to the environment?

No. It is not harmful to the environment. On the contrary, this formula unlike aerosols, does not contain propellants and the refill is manufactured in recycled plastic.

How durable is the dispenser and what is it made of?

Very durable. The dispenser is made of a strong material called polypropylene and talc and is highly chemical resistant.

The product is too strong or too weak how can I adjust the fragrance level?

This is very easy to do. Open the cover and refer to the “mode” you want to change and use the “adjust” button to change the program to fit your needs and then press “enter”. With this option, you can have 18 different intervals that adjust how often the unit will spray and give different strength levels of fragrance.

Do I have to spray the unit 24 hours a day if no one is there?

No. You have the option of spraying 24 hours a day or 12 hours a day. You can choose the 12 hour period you want to fit your needs.

Is there a risk of the fragrance staining my wall/floor ?

No. Thanks to its unique “dry spray” formulation, Watchman spray does not stain surfaces as it evaporates before touching any surface. (Dispensers must be installed at a minimum height of 2.2meter and away from any surface).

It seems that the fragrance smells less after having used a few refills

This well-known phenomenon is called “Fragrance fatigue”. As you get used to the fragrance, you have the impression it is getting weaker. This is why we offer a “Variety pack” made of the 4 top fragrances.

Which fragrance should I use?

Any fragrance in the line that is chosen will neutralise the odours and leave the room smelling fresh with fragrance. If you are not sure which fragrance you prefer, why not try the variety pack (a mix of all our fragrances).

Is there a risk of getting accidentally sprayed in the face?

No. When installed properly (>2.2m high) and maintained according to instructions, the risk of accidental spraying is avoided. To be absolutely safe, avoid standing in front of the dispenser when it is on.
